Indig Design, a majority Indigenous owned business, is a collaboration between Kenny Mak and Jeannette Sinclair, drawing on their individual & collective strengths. Kenny’s experience in technology, graphic design, marketing & sales, plus excellent research & listening skills, created the foundation for Indig Design. Jeannette’s Cree ancestry, her lived experiences and her PhD in Indigenous Peoples Education in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Alberta has given her considerable experience working with Indigenous people in Alberta and nationally. She considers herself fortunate to have engaged with Indigenous research frameworks, allowing her to learn from keepers of Traditional Knowledge and Indigenous scholars to deepen her understanding of Indigenous worldviews and Indigenous ways of knowing, enriching her academic journey and cultural knowledge base to provide cultural advising and consulting services to our clients.
