 Please allow me to introduce myself.  I’m Florida Proulx, BBAA, CPA, CGA.  I’m a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Alberta, and a public accounting practitioner.
In addition, I’m a member of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nations in northern Alberta, and happy to share in the vision of the Edmonton Aboriginal Business & Professional Association to support Aboriginal Entrepreneurship.

I grew up equally in Edmonton, Alberta and Fort McMurray, Alberta, and have had the benefits of having a diverse background in the practical field of accounting over the past nearly 18 years, from oil & gas at Suncor Energy, to the provincial government’s crown corporation, with AIMCO, and mostly within public accounting, where my heart has always been.

In 2014, I made the big decision to leave my office of employment and jump into self-employment and that’s when I hung a sign on my door.  It took 6 years of hard work and dedication, but I can honestly hard work pays off, and I do not regret that decision.
