Celebrating 15 Years of Indigenous Business & Community

We’re excited to celebrate the 15th Annual Aksis Indian Summer Golf Tournament on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Cougar Creek Golf Resort!

Event Details:

Are you organized, friendly, and passionate about supporting community? Join our team as a Membership Experience Coordinator!

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support our members with onboarding, questions, and directory updates

  • Organize internal systems, files, and trackers

  • Coordinate events and manage bookings

  • Communicate as the first point of contact through email, social media, and Lu.ma

Grant Opportunities

New Grant Opportunity for Alberta Manufacturers

The Government of Alberta, in partnership with Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, has launched the Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant. This program offers up to $30,000 in matching funds (covering up to 50% of eligible costs) for small and medium-sized manufacturers aiming to boost productivity and competitiveness.

Eligible businesses must:

  • Be located in Alberta

  • Manufacture, refine, refurbish, or process a product or material

  • Use the funded equipment/technology in Alberta

  • Employ 5 to 750 people

🔹August 13 — Indigenous Spotlight Series: Commonwealth Walkway Experience — Explore with our Storytellers

  • ​Time: 5 PM–8 PM

  • Location: ᐄᓃᐤ (ÎNÎW) River Lot 11∞ Indigenous Art Park

  • Details: ​​​​Discover Indigenous stories along Edmonton’s Commonwealth Walkway during an evening walk starting at ÎNÎW River Lot 11 Indigenous Art Park. Guided by Elders and storytellers, participants will explore the river valley and hear new stories added in Spring 2024 that honour the voices and history of Treaty 6 territory.

🔹September 24 — Indigitech Destiny Summit 2025

  • ​Time: 9 AM–4 PM

  • Location: TELUS Spark Science Centre, 220 Saint George’s Drive Northeast, Calgary
