Aksis is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of recognized leaders from Edmonton’s Aboriginal business community. The Board convenes monthly and represents voting members (Aboriginal business and professionals), associate members (local business and government partners) and student members.
Be recognized as the progressive voice of and a passionate advocate for the Aboriginal business and professional community in Edmonton.
Create a collaborative and inclusive network that encourages members to forge connections and foster mutually beneficial relationships.
Realize the potential for productive and profitable participation of Aboriginal people in the Greater Edmonton business and professional community.
Actively promote the Aboriginal business community as an integral part of the Edmonton business community at large.
Be a trusted linkage to resources for education, programs and funding/ financing that foster the growth and development of our members.
Provide members with information and guidance in procuring contracts and pursuing opportunities.
Play a pivotal role in the growth and development of member businesses and professionals for the betterment of all Aboriginal people.
Establish an annual award to recognize excellence and celebrate exceptional members of Edmonton’s Aboriginal business community.
